Gunlock Park

The scout projects have nearly been completed for the Gunlock Park. The cement is in, the hoops are in and the light is in. There have been many children in Gunlock who have already enjoyed this addition.

Eagle Scout Project at the Park

A local scout, Hyrum Smith, asked permission from the GSSD board to add a light to the park’s new basketball court for his eagle project. He was granted permission to incorporate the power from an existing power box the GSSD owns. He also asked for any funding the GSSD could donate and the board said they may have some left in the budget.
This is an add-on from another eagle project another local scout, Jo B Shurtliff, had started by putting in the basketball court cement. The basketball hoops will be put in and the court will be painted.
